United Way Set to Revive Annual Day of Caring with Giving Tuesday Boost
The United Way of Cattaraugus County and Allegany County United Way are excited to announce the revival of their Annual Day of Caring, set for May 2024, and will earmark Giving Tuesday donations to support the day.
“This cherished event, connecting volunteers with service organizations, is set to create a lasting impact in our communities,” Sue McAuley, Executive Director, said. "We look forward to reinstating the Day of Caring in our communities with a boost from Giving Tuesday donations."
The event will be open to non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations, schools, and government agencies. Agency projects can be either half-day (3 hours) or full-day (up to 6 hours), allowing agencies to tailor their needs and volunteer commitments accordingly.
Funds raised on Giving Tuesday will be dedicated to supporting the Day of Caring, ensuring its success and community impact. Giving Tuesday, which falls on Nov. 28, 2023, is a global day of generosity offering an opportunity for individuals and organizations to contribute to causes that matter.
More information and registration for projects, volunteers, and sponsors will be available in early 2024.
